VIRDEN HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC - MORE PICTURES

VIRDEN HIGH SCHOOL CURLING CLINIC - NOV 19th

Roberta Bailey, Mark Robertson and Louis Vachon organized a clinic for the High School Curling league. They enlisted Allan Lyburn's team from Brandon, with Allan, Scott Ramsey, Mark Taylor and Cory Barkley, giving them a hand in teaching curling skills to the young curlers. Mainline Motors, Allan's teams main sponsor, also got involved to make this a great day for everyone.

They started with warm-up tips before actually hitting the ice. Then they split into groups to teach curling technique and strategy. They had a break with hot chocolate and cookies and then back to the ice, to actually play some games with the instructors. All in all it was a great opportunity for the high school kids to learn from some very accomplished curlers.

The Virden Curling Club would like to express our sincere thanks to all those involved in setting up and conducting this clinic.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX

This clinic followed a Junior Curling Clinic that was held at the rink on Tuesday. Brenda Gerrand, Doreen Grieve, Carol Anne Wood and Barry Hayward were all involved in organizing or instructing at the clinic.
